Founded in 2020, Shooting Stars was created to provide safe, engaging, programming that supports the whole child—academically, physically, and socially.
Our organization partners with schools, school districts, and community organizations to deliver structured after-school and out-of-school-time programming aligned with educational goals and youth development best practices. About the Foundation
The Shooting Stars Youth Sports Foundation is the nonprofit arm of the Shooting Stars organization, established to expand access to high-quality youth development opportunities for students and families. The Foundation exists to remove barriers to participation by providing equitable access to academic support, sports enrichment, and leadership programming for youth in underserved and under-resourced communities.
Through partnerships with school districts, community organizations, and national youth initiatives, the Foundation supports programs that promote academic achievement, physical wellness, positive character development, and family engagement. Our work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive—both inside and outside the classroom.
The Shooting Stars Youth Sports Foundation aligns its programming with educational standards and youth development best practices, including initiatives supported through 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC). Our programs are designed to complement the school day while fostering confidence, teamwork, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits.
